The Neuse River Resource Recovery Facility is a domestic wastewater treatment facility. Biosolids are the nutrient-rich organic materials resulting from the treatment of domestic sewage. The solids are further processed utilizing heat and high pressure to reduce or eliminate pathogens and minimize odors. This results in forming a safe, beneficial agricultural product.
