American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
exhibit # 636
The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk raises awareness and funds to save lives from breast cancer in our community and beyond. Our event is a noncompetitive 5k walk that brings more than 65,000 people together in Downtown Orlando to make a difference for everyone who has been touched by breast cancer. There is a plethora of services provided by the American Cancer Society in support of cancer patients and caregivers that are funded by events like Making Strides. These services include free rides to treatment through our Road to Recovery program, free and reduced cost hotel stays through Hope Lodge and hotel partners, 24/7 support and guidance through our hotline, and we also fund groundbreaking and lifesaving research every day to find cancer's causes and cures.
