Fit and Finally Free - Chef Almetria Turner
Chef Almetria Turner is a Wellness Coach, Food and Fitness Blogger, Marathoner, Certified Running and Group Fitness Coach, Author and Motivational Speaker who inspires people how to live a healthy, holistic, and well-balanced life through food, faith, fitness, feelings and fun.
She was featured on NBC's, "The Today Show," the national running publication, "Women's Running Magazine, Redbook Magazine, TBN, Yahoo Health, The Huffington Post, The Daily Mail UK and many others for her 177 pound natural weight loss, overcoming diabetes, hypertension, and how running saved her life. She made it to the final round in Nashville during the nationwide search for Season Nine of Masterchef.
Being a Southern girl at heart, she has always loved eating good food and watching her mom and grandmother cook in the kitchen. Leading a sedentary lifestyle and developing poor eating and cooking habits lead her to become overweight and riddled with chronic illnesses for most of her life.
Once she began her wellness journey, she learned how to cook and transform her favorite foods by developing healthier recipes. After doing much research, she found that eating healthier didn't have to fall into what she calls as the 3B Myth...bland, boring or a budget buster as she wrote in her ebook, "How to Shop and Eat Healthy on a Budget."
Almetria loves teaching people how they too can become fit and finally free through her blog, fitness classes, cooking classes and healthy grocery store tours especially when it comes to saving money, time and unwanted calories. Be sure to stop by her exhibitor's booth located at 804 around the corner from the cooking stage to purchase her ebook and learn more about her services.
Catch her on the cooking stage Friday, Saturday and Sunday for a healthy demonstration and samples.
