Chef Paul Penney, CPC
Mixing Australian wit and charm with an entrepreneurial flair, Chef Paul Penney
has become a prominent fixture in Michigan’s culinary circles. After serving many years as the President of a high tech company, Chef Paul swapped out his tie for a toque in 2001 to launch Aussie in the Kitchen personal chef service.
He is a sought after presenter and teacher for Health Alliance Plan (HAP), a SE Michigan HMO doing worksite Lunch and Learn cooking programs and HealthPlus, another Michigan HMO in the Flint / Saginaw area. He has appeared on many TV segments throughout the US and is currently a regular on the Fox 2 Detroit morning show with Deena Centofanti demonstrating healthy alternative recipes.
Born in Adelaide, South Australia, Chef Paul’s formal training includes the famed Le Cordon Bleu in Ottawa, Canada, the U.S. Personal Chef Institute in Phoenix, AZ, and many other culinary classes and workshops around the country and abroad. Chef Paul lives in Canton, Michigan with his wife Sandy and daughter Emma.

Her commitment to healthy, innovative and high quality foods has brought her recognition even in Hollywood. The food that was prepared in the movie Gran Torino with the legendary Clint Eastwood was made by her. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience to be on set next to Clint.
Genevieve became a refugee in Thailand for two years during the Vietnam War, later fled to Paris and then settled in Detroit. To spread the message of hope and beauty to the rest of the world, in 2011, Chef Genevieve created a gluten free frozen food line called Thai Feast to show the world how significant Thai cuisine has been to Genevieve Vang’s life. Recently, she created new vegan, allergen-free Asian broth and sauce powders where you just add water. Join Chef Genevieve on stage to learn how you can cook up some easy healthy Thai dishes without the worries of allergens, and learn the tricks to carving a fruit and vegetable into beautiful edible flowers within minutes.

Cooking for Two
is a chef and full-time writer who studied at the Southeast Institute of Culinary Arts. Recently he noticed a shift in the home cooking world. For whatever reason, people wanted to rediscover the joy of cooking.

The United Dairy Industry of Michigan
(UDIM) is thrilled to be attending and exhibiting at the Michigan International Women’s Show
again this year! They will be hosting two cooking demonstrations at the Stonebridge Kitchen & Bath Cooking Stage. On Saturday at 11:30am, a registered dietitian and recipe blogger will demonstrate the perfect menu when entertaining your girl friends- fresh, light dishes showcasing warm weather ingredients and wholesome dairy. A second cooking demonstration on Sunday at 1:30 pm will feature Dr. Nandi and his wife Kali, where they will be whipping up energizing smoothies with unique flavor combos—and it all starts with milk or yogurt as the base.
