Choosing a Show

December 13, 2011
If you’re an exhibitor in show A, it’s very likely you’ll be approached by shows B, C and D to be in their events as well. Because you already have an exhibit, and know that shows can be successful, you are low-hanging fruit for exhibit space sales people.

So how do you decide which shows to participate in? Since I plan to keep my promise of making sure these posts can be read in less than one minute, I’m not going to give you all the ins and outs of choosing a show.  But luckily, there’s a great guide available under the Exhibitor Tips tab at www.HGSEI.com. This is the website for the Home and Garden Show Executives International, a 50+ year old organization whose members constitute some of the best home and garden shows in North America. The advice provided is good for any type of consumer show.

Color Me Fun

December 27, 2011
Color is a simple, but normally overlooked, way to stand out at a show. Do not be afraid to lighten up your exhibit by using bright, cheerful colors. Bright colors also convey that your exhibit - and your company - is filled with fun, happy people.
